Collapse Consultants is concerned about the economic situation in America.
Over the course of the last few decades, the United States has been on a collision course with National bankrupcy nearly without interruption. Some have noticed this trend and have been sounding the alarm for many years, but nothing seems to turn the ship away from the looming Iceberg.
One of these is David Walker who, as former Comptroller of the U.S. is in a unique position to know and understand the complete ramifications of the situation. On leaving public service several years ago, he co-founded the Peter G. Peterson Foundation with a view of spreading the word and finding viable solutions to the problem. He spreads his message through the web and by holding town-hall meetings nationwide.
Unfortunately, Mr. Walker’s message seems to be landing softly upon mostly deaf ears and America continues the path to destruction.
Some may recall how President Clinton “shut down the government” back in the mid 1990′s. Many we have spoken to do not grasp the ramifications of that action and this prompted us to start Collapse Consultants. Let us be frank and clear: For 22 days, lasting from December 16, 1995 to January 6, 1996, the United States effectively did not exist. Shutdown of the Federal Government, had it continued would have meant the end of the nation as we know it. Recently, a similar crisis struck the nation and was only averted when Congress worked with President Obama to stave off such an outcome.
What would happen if such a shutdown actually did transpire and the Federal Government of the United States of America took place?
Certainly, there would be instant, large-scale chaos. Think about it. Shut down the U.S. and instantly, the dollar would become useless. It is currently backed only by good faith in the Federal Government and without that government to back the bills, they would be useful only as toilet paper. With no currency, what would you do? How would you survive? How would you take care of your family?
With this in mind, we began Collapse Consultants. We believe that, given the situation and the political ramifications, national insolvency is not a matter of “if” it will happen, but “when?”
When it does happen, then, what will it mean for America? What will it mean for the world? Most importantly, what will it mean for you and your loved ones?
There are steps that can be taken in the here and now to prepare for that outcome. The goal of Collapse Consultants is to prepare as many as possible for the day when our great nation slips into the realm of history past.
